Project Overview
Trippi is a travel-focused mobile application designed to help users find free accommodation, connect with travel buddies, and plan their trips within a single integrated experience.
The design focused on building trust between users, simplifying complex flows, and reducing friction in key interactions such as booking and connecting.
This project was designed from scratch with the goal of creating a secure, intuitive, and reliable travel ecosystem.

UI/UX Challenges
Travel enthusiasts often face three main challenges:

Lack of trust when traveling with strangers
Limited profile transparency and unclear verification make decision-making difficult.

Finding reliable free accommodation
Users need confidence that their stay request is legitimate and confirmed, especially without financial transactions.

Fragmented trip planning tools
Users typically rely on multiple platforms for accommodation, travel buddies, and events.
How I Solved Challenges

UX Approach
Conducted early-stage research (questionnaires and short interviews with travelers)
Identified and prioritized core features based on real user needs
Focused on trust, clarity, and simplicity throughout the product

Product Structure
The product was structured around three main pillars:
Stay: Search and request free accommodation
Travel Buddy: Share travel plans and find companions
Planner & Events: Create trip plans and explore/join events
A simplified bottom navigation system was implemented to ensure fast and intuitive access to key sections.

Key Design Decisions
Introduced a multi-step verification system for hosts (ID verification + verification badge)
Added trust signals within user profiles (ratings, trip history, confirmations)
Designed short and predictable user flows for:
- Accommodation requests
- Travel buddy requests
- Trip planning creation
Applied a clean, minimal UI to reduce cognitive load and improve usability on mobile
The primary focus was on flow efficiency, accessibility, and clarity.
Final Design
The final outcome is a structured and intuitive mobile experience where users can:
Find and request accommodation in a few clear steps
Evaluate potential travel buddies through transparent profiles
Create and manage travel plans
Discover and register for upcoming events
The interface is card-based, visually organized, and optimized for quick decision-making.
