The goal was to create a seamless experience that combines exploration, service discovery, and wayfinding in a single ecosystem. Users often rely on multiple platforms to discover local businesses, including search engines, maps, and social media. This fragmented experience increases effort and reduces visibility for local businesses.

How I Solved Challenges

Unified Discovery Experience
Core user needs were consolidated into a single ecosystem. Users can discover businesses through featured content, categories, search, or interactive maps.

Category-Driven Navigation
Businesses and services were organized into easily scannable categories, allowing users to browse relevant options without relying on exact search queries.

Location-Centered Experience
The map experience became the central component of the product. Every flow—from discovery to business details—ultimately supports location-based decision-making and navigation.

Premium Minimal Interface
A premium dark-themed design system was created using minimal visual elements, spacious layouts, large content cards, and strong visual hierarchy to improve readability and perception.
Final Design
The final result is a scalable local discovery and navigation platform that guides users from service exploration to destination arrival. The combination of a premium visual language and streamlined user flows creates an intuitive experience for a broad audience.
Outcome
Light Map successfully combines service discovery, business exploration, and navigation into a unified experience. By prioritizing clarity, fast access to information, and intuitive navigation, the product reduces user friction and strengthens engagement with local businesses.
